Jennifer Mills Barnes

Jennifer Mills Barnes is a children’s author focused on sharing the truths of God’s world with children and their families. For more than 30 years, she taught kindergartners and first graders. Besides coaching 41 student-teachers and serving as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina, she hosted multiple children’s authors in her classroom. For years, she studied how successful authors interacted with young children.

Since her retirement, she has embraced writing stories that show Jesus. She has blogged for Write2Ignite, Inkspirations, and on her website, JenniferMBarnes.com. She has written for Clubhouse, Jr., Clubhouse, and awaits the publication of a family story in HomeLife. Jennifer serves as co-president of the Lexington Word Weavers Chapter. You can find her road-tripping, gardening, and hanging out with her husband, adult children, grandson Tucker, and two brand new grandbabies this year.
