Wednesday's Intensive Options

ALL DAY Deep Dive Fiction Intensive w/ Christy Award Winner Angela Hunt

FROM 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM:
Writers with at least a first draft will appreciate this deep-dive intensive. Angela Hunt will question, poke, and prod you to consider your manuscript from all angles. Will your story idea resonate with readers? Is your plot working? Are your characters truly memorable? Does your dialogue sing? Are your conflicts realistic and are the stakes high enough? Does your first line invite the reader into the story or simpy sit on the page? Come with your manuscript and your laptop, or even a typewriter, if that’s what you use! You will think and write and Angela prmises to anser all your questions to the best of her ability. You’ll leave with new material and a much-improved novel-in-progress!

In this one-day intensive, we’ll dive into the elements of successful picture book stories and provide you with the necessary tools to make your manuscript rise to the top of the dreaded slush pile.

Bring one completed picture book manuscript with you, and Michelle will make sure you leave this intensive time of “all things picture books” with a much-improved version, sure to wow editors.
